iPortable - 10.6.2
PROTOCOL-X has made a new 10.6.2 bootable distro! The only thing you need is working Leopard/Snow Leopard system and an 8GB USB-Stick. So if you have a spare USB stick or external hard drive you can boot Snow Kitty on almost everything! (You have to be careful though, not every PC supports OSX! But with core 2 duo so popular you have a really good chances! )
Installation process is very simple. Download the iso (2.6GB) and follow the instructions in manual. After downloading the iso, installation on the stick takes only 5min (depending on your USB-Drive write speed).
There is a small problem with this distro though! It has DARWIN BOOTLOADER, so it is 'impossible' to boot it on a PC that doesn't have a proper bootloader: like EMPIRE EFI or Chameleon. The workaround for this issue is to use a osx compatible bootloader or to install chameleon on the drive (not tested - but shouldn't be a problem)
Booting procedure on white-box PC:
1. EmpireEFI or tonymacx86 (customized Chameleon) burned on a CD.
2. Choose iPortable at Chameleon Boot!
3. Enjoy Snow Leopard!
Troubleshooting:
There is a long list in manual regarding i3, i5 and i7 CPUs, they need the busratio set at boot and cpus=1 to boot properly. Just read the manual and in case of problems you can't overcome ask in the forums!
Welcome!
You are probably looking for a working copy of Tiger or Leopard, ready to install on a "white box" pc. I can't give you a link to download it, so please don't even ask for it. This blog will inform you about working versions of OSX86. You have to find a copy yourself. (try some popular torrent sites)
